Parkland High School would like to give a huge shoutout to JV cheerleader Bella Silva for her outstanding performance at the Varsity Spirit Thanksgiving Parade in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! Bella had the incredible opportunity to represent our school and community among other All American Cheerleaders from across the nation. The event took place from November 25-29 and showcased the best of the best in cheerleading talent.
Bella’s journey to this prestigious event began this past summer when she and six other Parkland cheerleaders were selected as UCA All Americans during the UCA Cheer Camp at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. This honor recognizes cheerleaders who exemplify exceptional skill, spirit, and leadership. Each All American is given the opportunity to participate in events based on their squad—Junior High, Junior Varsity, or Varsity. Bella chose to attend the Orlando Thanksgiving Tour, where All American cheerleaders from across the country came together to perform and celebrate their achievements.
In preparation for the event, Bella received a routine to learn about a month in advance. Upon arriving in Orlando on Tuesday, she joined other All Americans for a 3-hour rehearsal to perfect their performance. Bella also participated in a t-shirt swap with other cheerleaders, proudly sharing Matador gear and spreading Parkland pride.
“It was amazing to see Bella represent Parkland High School with such poise and enthusiasm,” said her coach, Bailey Sarver. “Her dedication and spirit truly embody what it means to be a Matador.” Bella’s participation not only highlighted her talents but also allowed her to connect with cheerleaders from across the nation, including those from Arkansas, Alabama, and even Bel Air High School, who attended our UCA Camp at Parkland.
The Varsity Spirit Thanksgiving Parade brought together cheerleaders from all of the Varsity Spirit Brand cheer camps, creating a unique opportunity to share traditions and experiences. Bella’s involvement in this event is a testament to her hard work and the strong cheerleading program we have at Parkland High School.
We are incredibly proud of Bella Silva for representing our school and community with excellence on such a grand stage. Congratulations, Bella, on this well-deserved accomplishment!
