Opened in 1978, Glen Cove Elementary serves 600 PreK – 5th grade students yearly in the J.M. Hanks High feeder pattern, with a majority Hispanic student population.

Glen Cove, a TEA "A" rated, National Title 1, and Blue Ribbon School, has 5 TEA distinctions and multiple awards, ranking in Texas's Top 10 schools, dedicated to excellence.

Glen Cove Elementary, a TEA High Performing Title I School, supports students with 1:1 Chromebooks and offers after-school clubs for skill development beyond the classroom.
