Parkland High School Courtyard Garden Brings Students and Teachers Together

This past May, Parkland High School's courtyard planters transformed into vibrant vegetable and flower gardens, thanks to the collaborative efforts of students and teachers. The project, spearheaded by several dedicated staff members, allowed students to connect with nature while learning valuable skills.

Under the guidance of Ms. Morales, Ms. Gonzalez, Ms. Singleton, Ms. Graham, Mr. Hash, Ms. Ramirez, and Mr. Morua, students planted a variety of vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuces, and green beans. Additionally, the students added a splash of color by sowing wildflower seeds.

Throughout the month, students took turns watering the gardens and ensuring their growth. This hands-on experience not only beautified the campus but also taught the students responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of sustainable gardening practices.

As summer approached, the flourishing garden became a testament to the hard work and dedication of both students and staff. The Parkland High School Courtyard Garden will continue to be a source of pride for the school community as it grows and evolves in the coming seasons.

Stay tuned for future updates as the garden continues to thrive!
