Raider Families!

We hope this message finds you well and enjoying a great start to your week. This Wednesday, April 4th, all of our students will be taking the RLA STAAR test, and we need your support to help set them up for success! Please make sure your child brings their fully charged Chromebook and their charger on testing day. A well-prepared student is a confident student, and your help with this small but important detail is truly appreciated.

Thank you, Raider families, for your continued support in making attendance a top priority! Your commitment to bringing your children to school every day and on time is making a huge impact. Our weekly free dress incentive for the grade level with the highest attendance has been a great success—our attendance is skyrocketing!

A big shoutout to our 8th graders, who have taken the lead by winning the challenge three weeks in a row, even hitting an incredible 98% attendance on some days! But don’t count the other grade levels out—they’re right behind and bringing the competition! Let’s keep the momentum going and continue showing up strong every day—because when Raiders show up, they grow and make gains!

Congratulations to Ava Martinez for winning our Spring Break Game On Challenge!

Because Ava comes to school every day and on time, she earned the opportunity to log the most minutes and take home an awesome prize—a brand new bike and a backpack full of games and school supplies!

A huge thank you to Ava and her family for their commitment to education and for making attendance a priority. Your dedication truly paid off—way to go, Ava!

Both our registration and transfer windows are now open! If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to complete these forms online. Securing your child’s spot for next school year ensures a smooth transition and helps us plan ahead to serve you better.

This week, we are also celebrating two very special recognitions on campus. It’s National Assistant Principals Week, and we want to thank our incredible APs for their dedication, leadership, and support of our students and staff. It’s also National Librarian Day on Monday, April 7th, and we’re so grateful for Ms. Medina and Ms. Chavez and all that they does to foster a love of reading and provide a welcoming space for our students.

As always, thank you for being amazing partners in your child’s education. We’re proud to serve our Raider community and look forward to a great week ahead!

Your Principal,

Steven Zubiate
