Points of Pride

A-Rated Campus logo

The original Scotsdale Elementary was built in August 1958, nestled in the heart of east El Paso. The 2019 Y.I.S.D. Bond afforded our community a brand new school and, as a community, we were ready to open its doors for the 2022-23 academic school year. Our school colors are blue and white with the school mascot being a Cadet.

The Texas Education Agency branded Scotsdale Elementary as an “A-rated” campus, earning multiple Distinction Designations. These accolades include distinctions in mathematics, science and closing gaps with scholars on campus.

Scotsdale is a feeder school for Eastwood Middle and Eastwood High School. The student population is diverse and consists of about 700+ students being serviced in grades preschool through fifth grade respectfully. Scotsdale Elementary is driven by a faculty dedicated to student success, with the attitude that "Failure Is Not an Option".

Scotsdale has attained Distinctions for STAAR testing in ELA/Reading, Mathematics, Science, Top 25%, closing the performance gap and Postsecondary Readiness. The Cadet Faculty and Teachers strive to support and nurture that all students grow emotionally and academically.

Scotsdale Extracurricular Activities
Scotsdale Elementary hosts extracurricular activities for students. As students return to school this academic school year, we will strive to offer opportunities for all Scholars to partake in various athletic and academic clubs. Library, Robotics and STUCO are some of our more popular clubs. Our school will invest in providing opportunities for learners to have opportunities to extend their love for our school and self-pride.
