Points of Pride

Edgemere International School, home of the Roadrunners, continues the tradition of excellence that started when it opened its doors in 1963. We are currently celebrating our 60th anniversary.  Located in the Eastwood community, Edgemere I.S. serves a diverse population of approximately 650 students enrolled in Preschool through 5th grade.  The school’s success is a reflection of a collaborative effort involving motivated students, supportive families, and courageous educators.  The faculty and staff are committed to empowering students through academic and extracurricular activities that develop a strong cognitive, social and emotional identity.  Edgemere International has been remodeled to enhance the learning spaces.

Dual Language / International Program (Chinese)
Edgemere International School offers a two-way dual language option for students starting in Pre-K which provides instruction in English and Spanish. Dual language students in Kindergarten through 5th grades also participate in the Chinese program and receive daily instruction to develop writing, reading and communication skills in Chinese. Edgemere International takes pride in cultivating bilingualism, biliteracy, and enhancing awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity.

After-School Programs
Edgemere offers a myriad of programs and clubs after school to help ensure the academic, social and physical development of our students. Students have the opportunity to participate in programs such as dance teams, double dutch, library clubs, martial arts club, math club, Academic UIL, eSports, and robotics.
