The Scotsdale Elementary School Student Council (STUCO) has consistently demonstrated exceptional and innovative service to others through its unique approach to community involvement. Their commitment in supporting the Eastwood, Ysleta ISD, and El Paso community began this year by partnering with the El Paso Hunger Food bank to collect more than 1,200 cans of food for hundreds of families across the city.
The STUCO continued in a coalition with the Relay for Life Cancer Organization, collecting more than $300 dollars in donations. Most recently, the STUCO collected more than 1,000 pairs of socks to support to those in need at the El Paso Homeless Shelter during the holiday season.
These exceptional acts of kindness are only a few examples of the commitment the Scotsdale Elementary School STUCO has pledged to support those in need in the El Paso area, and we honor this outstanding group of students with the February 2025 President’s Award.
