The Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Belen Briones as Comptroller and Jessica Moreno as Budget Director.
Briones has 22 years of experience in the field of finance. She has served as an accountant, financial analyst, and auditor in both the private and government sectors, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).
Moreno, who previously served as the district’s budget coordinator, began her career at Ysleta ISD in 2001 as a budget clerk at Riverside High School.
During her tenure with the district, Moreno has served as a budget specialist, budget amendments clerk, and a clerk in the Federal & State Programs department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a master’s degree in Business Administration, both from UTEP.
