Ramona Parents in CPR Class

Parents conducting CPR on dummies

Ten eager Ramona STEM Academy parents received personalized Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training in March from ProAction Emergency Services. The interactive, hands on training allowed parents to practice on the latest CPR manikins and first aid training equipment.

Certified ProAction Instructor Vianey Ortiz led the parents to give them the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations. All parents were very engaged and excited to get certified.

Special thank you to Ramona Principal Ms. Darlene Martinez and CIS coordinator Ms. Diana Rodriguez for coordinating the event for parents.

ProAction Emergency Services Institute is a provider for CPR, AED, and First Aid certification courses in El Paso. According to the CDC, the majority of people who experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital setting do not survive. However, CPR can significantly increase the chances of survival if administered within the first few minutes. ProAction’s experienced instructors teach life-saving techniques necessary to provide immediate aid in critical situations.
