Young Women's Leadership Academy
Program Overview
Young Women’s Leadership Academy strives to provide its students in Career & Technical Education (CTE) classes with a rigorous and relevant curriculum experience. In compliance with Texas House Bill 5, classes are designed to be taken over four years in a sequence that allows for continued growth within an industry or career field. These designated sequences are called pathways. Successful completion of the pathways will also earn graduating students a state-designated endorsement on their diploma. These endorsements also contribute to a student earning a Distinguished Level of Achievement (DLA). Each pathway offers students opportunities to learn in a cohort experience where students move through a sequence of courses with students of the same grade level and pathway choice.
