Mission Statement

YISD's Special Education Department recognizes, respects, and honors the diversity of our exceptional students and their families. Our purpose is to provide the leadership, services, and support that will enable learners to achieve their unique goals in inclusive school and community environments.

NOTICE—Special education students who were exempted by their ARD committees from taking or passing end-of-course exams as part of graduation requirements may be entitled to seek additional special education services despite having graduated, if presently under the age of 22. If interested, please contact the Special Education Office.
