Criminal Record Check Overview
Vendors that are doing business with the District where the vendor has an opportunity of frequent contact with students, and the vendor is unescorted by District employees, while on District property.
Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) criminal record checks are required based on the contracted services your company will perform, your workers have covered workers and therefore require background checks.
All contractors (except NCPA) will have background checks for covered workers initiated by the District. Obtain fingerprinting utilizing the District’s LEE FAST Pass process.
National Child Protection Act (NCPA)Contractors who provide care or care placement services meet the criteria of early childcare providers who have criminal background checks through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
The Purchasing Department will email you directly with instructions and forms should TXDPS CRC(s) be required. Once you have completed the forms, please upload them through this link.
