The Ysleta Independent School District has once again been named the city’s best public school district, marking its sixth consecutive year at the top in the El Paso area on the 2027 Best Schools and Districts in America rankings recently released by Niche, a nationwide online platform that connects families with schools.

“Six years in a row – what a wonderful tribute to the staff, teachers, and leaders at the Ysleta Independent School District, who work so hard and give so much of themselves to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Xavier De La Torre. “They bring our programs to life and create a welcoming and supportive environment where students are cared for, encouraged, and excited to learn.

“To our employees and families who stand beside us – thank you,” Dr. De La Torre added. “Six years as the No. 1 school district in El Paso is an exceptional accomplishment that belongs to all of us.”
